How Much Does an Above Ground Pool Liner Cost?

If you’re taking steps to find a new above ground pool liner for the summer, make sure that you are looking for a pool liner made to last while also being cost-effective for you!

Buying a pool is a huge investment, so you want to ensure that the materials you invest in are cost-effective and made to last. If you’re deciding what liner to get for your above ground pool, choosing a vinyl option will be less costly than other options available. We’ll review why you should choose a vinyl liner for your above ground pool this summer!

What is a Vinyl Pool Liner?

Vinyl pool liners are a custom-made sheet of vinyl that is a barrier between the pool walls and floor. The liner locks in at the top of the walls and offers both beaded and overlap installation types. Overall, a pool liner is similar to a large bag that holds your pool water without leaking.

Vinyl liners are easy to install and offer an expensive look and feel without the high cost. Depending on the size and style of the liner you choose, the price of the liner will change.

What Size do Vinyl Pool Liners Come in?

At LinerWorld, we offer 23 total vinyl liner size options for you to choose from. They are available in round, oval, and rectangular pool shape options with different sizes for each. Our round pool liners are available in 12’, 15’, 16’, 18’, 21’, 24’, 27’, 28’, 30’, and 33’ options. Our oval pool liners are available in 12’x18’, 12’x24’, 15’x24’, 15’x25’, 15’x30’, 16’x24’, 16’x32’, 18’x33’, and 21’x41’ options. Rectangular pool liners come in 12’x20’, 12’x24’, 16’x24’, and 16’x32’ options.

If you can’t find the correct liner size for your pool or if the measurements are only slightly off, we offer custom vinyl liners to fit your specific pool’s size and shape.

What Gauge Pool Liner is Best?

Typically, you’ll want to look for a 20 to 30-gauge vinyl pool liner. The higher the gauge, the thicker the pool liner, but that doesn’t always mean that it will last the longest or be the most heavy-duty. A thicker liner can be difficult to mold to your pool and won’t fit as nicely, making installation more difficult.

At LinerWorld, our vinyl pool liners are 25 gauge. This gauge allows our pool liners to be durable and flexible enough to fit your pool while also making installation easier for you!
